It was also reported that between October 5 and December 2, she entered Guyana through a port other than the legal port of entry and failed to presented her self to an immigration officer.Through her interpreter she tearfully stated that she came to Guyana to visit the country and while here, was employed by several Brazilians who sell clothes in the interior.The visibly shaken and emotional woman stated through her interpreter that she was sorry for her actions.The Magistrate after listening to her pleas, fined her $30,000 with an alternative of 12 months in jail for the charge of illegal entry.She was also sentenced to18 months each on the charges of committing a felony and 18 months on the charge of uttering forge documents.   Her sentences will run concurrently.
